Donor Egg Financial Assistance for Gay Parents

Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP) Discounts on Embryo Creation through PNWF

Gay men who want to be biological parents face unique challenges, including the large financial investment required. We recognize that the cost of donor egg IVF and gestational surrogacy can be a burden for some intended parents. We believe that no one should miss out on the chance to become parents because of finances. Through our partner clinic, Pacific Northwest Fertility (PNWF), we are proud to offer financial assistance for gay parents through the Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP) from Men Having Babies (MHB).

What is GPAP?

Men Having Babies (MHB) offers the Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP) to provide financial assistance for gay men and transgender women using third-party reproduction to build their families. GPAP has two stages. Stage I provides discounted or donated fertility services to eligible MHB members. Stage II provides cash grants to certain qualifying families to use for fertility services. Participants in GPAP also receive discounted or complementary services such as fertility medication, escrow services, and insurance resource services.

Financial Assistance for Gay Parents at PNWF

PNWF is a proud partner of MHB, and offers a 15% discount on all fertility services to GPAP Stage I recipients. This includes:

  • Semen analysis

  • IVF semen preparation

  • Egg fertilization & embryo development

  • Genetic testing

  • Medical screenings for gestational carrier (surrogate)

  • Embryo transfer

How do I Receive the GPAP Discounts?

To apply for the GPAP Stage I, you first need to become a member of MHB. The annual membership fee starts at $200. Once you have joined, you can fill out an application for GPAP Stage I, which includes annual income information. You can apply either as an individual or with a partner. If you qualify for the program, you will receive information on how to receive the discounts with participating clinics and agencies, including PNWF. You can apply for Stage I benefits throughout the year. If you qualify for Stage II grants, you may be invited to apply during the Stage II application period (June-August).

It’s important to note that most participating clinics, including PNWF, offer the GPAP Stage I discounts to new patients only.
